In the stillness
My thoughts race free
Breaking the silence
Can you hear me

Creative thoughts
Not spoken out loud
Weaving through memories
I don’t hear a sound

Consumed by images
Of present and past
My tangled thoughts
Converging fast

Confusing, fusing fantasy reality
Unable to return to normality
And who’s to say
It shouldn’t be this way

About Lulu

I take pleasure in the simplest of things. But most of all I enjoy the stillness, there is so much I feel in it.

    The Book of My Past

    At times,
In a lonely state of mind
    I find.
That the pages of the book of my past
Are being turned over the first to the last
They make me smile and they make my cry
There are certain things I did
But now I do not know why
And certain others I did not do
Who stopped me, I do not know, who?

  5. A beautiful poem. I especially like the smooth flow, the continuity of grouped thoughts that holds the verses together.

This reminds me of so many times when I am at home, trying to organize my thoughts, write something down and all the sounds of words and thoughts are crowding in my head. The last line is a great one, Lulu!
