Silence

It’s pitch black when I wake
Too quiet for the calamity I’m feeling
Restless and fraught with confusion
I can’t get my bearings
And begin to shake
I can’t make the distinction
Between dream and wake state
And my mind can’t see through the fog
Of my thoughts
I’m at a loss
Not wanting to let go of my dream
That floats slowly away
Into the reality of my loneliness
I try to close my eyes
To recapture the feel of you
The warmth and familiar tenderness
Of our love comforts me
And I can face a reality
With my memories
That time cannot steal

About Lulu

I take pleasure in the simplest of things. But most of all I enjoy the stillness, there is so much I feel in it.
